Title:
SOFT MAGNETIC STEEL MEMBER HAVING EXCELLENT INDUCTION HARDENABILITY AND COLD FORGEABILITY, AND HIGH STRENGTH SOFT MAGNETIC STEEL COMPONENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009084645
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a soft magnetic steel member in which the hardness of a steel surface layer part can be increased by induction hardening, and which has excellent cold forgeability upon component molding, and also can secure excellent magnetic properties even as-rolled.

The soft magnetic steel member has a composition comprising, by mass, 0.10 to 0.30% C, 0.02 to 0.2% Si, 0.2 to 0.6% Mn, 0.02% (excluding 0%) P, 0.002 to 0.05% S, 0.01 to 0.2% Cu, 0.01 to 0.2% Ni, 0.05 to 0.5% Cr, 0.020 to 0.070% Al, 0.0020 to 0.0050% B and 0.0100% (excluding 0%) O, 4 to 10 mass ppm solid solution B, and satisfying 0.5B/N1.7 [wherein, B is the B content(%) in the steel and N is the N content(%) in the steel], and the balance iron with inevitable impurities.
