Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable not only accurate masking adhering to non-painted parts but also massive masking in a short time by employing an inexpensive soft synthetic resin as a painting mask.
CONSTITUTION: Based on tensile and bending tests according to ASTMD747, ASTMD638 and ASTMD882, an inexpensive resin with an elasticity of 700kg/cm2 (10,000PSI) or less, for example, soft vinyl chloride resin is die molded massively in a specified shape. The mask thus formed adheres to non-painted parts of matters to be covered such as hard synthetic resin molding and wood molding and removed after painting.
