Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily produce the additive lens having required refracting power in a short period of time by bringing the attachable and detachable soft synthetic resin lens into tight contact with a part of spectacle lenses. CONSTITUTION:A convex mold 3 is held by a gasket 4 and a space 1 having a suitable thickness is formed between a concave spectacle lens 2 and the mold 3. A photosensitive resin monomer is injected through an injection port 5 into the space. The photosensitive resin monomer is then polymerized and cured by irradiation of UV rays for 5 minutes by which the soft synthetic resin lens l1 is formed. The soft synthetic resin lens l1 and the spectacle lens 2 are brought into tight contact with each other by some tackiness of the soft synthetic resin lens surface and the airtightness between both if the soft synthetic resin lens is applied on the desired position of the spectacle lens 2 and the central part thereof is lightly pressed with the fingertip. The lens for sight correction having the desired addition is obtd. on the spot in this way so as to meet the spectacle wearer's request.
