Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an environmentally safe softener composition containing each specific tertiary amine compound, etc., in specified amounts so as to afford textile product(s) with an excellent softness and resilience (bulky feel).
SOLUTION: This softener composition contains a total of 4-40wt.% of (A) a tertiary amine compound (inorganic acid- or 1-6C organic acid-neutralized product or quaternarized product thereof) of formula I [R1 is a 1-35C alkyl or alkenyl; A is a (OH-substituted) 1-10C alkylene; Y and Z are each a 2-3C alkylene; (m) and (n) are each 1-20], (B) a 2nd tertiary amine compound (inorganic acid- or 1-6C organic acid-neutralized product or quanternarized product thereof) of formula II (R2 is an acyl derived from a 8-36C (un)saturated fatty acid), and (C) a 3rd tertiary amine compound (inorganic acid- or 1-6C organic acid-neutralized product or quaternarized product thereof) of formula III (R3 is the same as R2), wherein the weight ratios A/B and C/B are pref. (0.1-1) and (0.1-2), respectively.
