Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any illegal access to an information processor and the illegal copy of software based on the concept of one user license.
SOLUTION: An operating system is installed in a compact storage medium inserted into the slot of an information processor to execute a license input, and the operating system is copy-guarded, and identification codes for recognizing the other parties are set in the compact recording medium and the hard disk of the information processor. Also, when the compact recording medium is inserted into the slot of the information processor, the identification code recognition is executed, and when the identification code recognition result is positive, data on the compact recording medium and the hard disk of the information processor are made available, and in the other case, data on the compact recording medium are made valid, and the protected data on the hard disk of the information processor are made invalid.
