To provide a soil cement columnar body (pile-like body) comprising a thin steel pipe as core material capable of exhibiting a sufficient support force as the foundation of a relatively lightweight building such as low-rise store built in soft ground while using a soil cement columnar body and a thin steel pipe.

This soil cement columnar body comprises the thin steel pipe with outer diameter of 30-60 mm vertically present in the ground as a core material; a solidified layer rich in cement content with thickness 0.5-1 times the steel pipe outer diameter, which is present over the whole length of the side circumference thereof; and a soil cement layer with thickness 1-2 times the steel pipe outer diameter, which is present over the whole length of the side circumference of the solidified layer rich in cement content.
