To provide a soil cement composite pile with flights which can be used widely as a foundation pile for civil engineering and construction of a structure, since the pile has a large horizontal resistance against a horizontal load on a pile head even when a pile supporting layer of the ground is inclined.
A soil cement column 1 is built in the ground. A pile 2 with the flights having a diameter smaller than the soil cement column 1 is installed in the soil cement column 1. The soil cement column 1 is formed to have a column-shape continued from the ground surface to the supporting layer 3 by mixing a solidification material like a cement solution with the excavated soil at the site. The pile 2 with the flights is a steel pipe pile on which the helical flights 3 are formed at a lower end part and an intermediate part of the steel pipe pile. A rib-like projection 4 continued in a peripheral direction of the steel pipe pile is formed on the pile head. The rib-like projection 4 is helically continued from an upper end of the pile toward the lower end of the pile to cover the range at least about four times as wide as the pile diameter Dp, and is formed to have a predetermined height (diameter).
