Title:
SOIL OR SOIL IMPROVER CONTAINING POROUS ION EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02158686
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a soil (improver) effective in supplying oxygen to the soil in an environment to minimize the evaporation of water and proliferate root nodule bacteria by compounding soil (improver) containing a porous ion- exchange material, etc., with oxygen-adsorbed activated carbon, etc., and a polyacrylamide.

CONSTITUTION: The objective soil (improver) is produced by compounding (A) a soil (improver) containing (i) an inorganic or organic porous ion-exchange material (e.g. vermiculite or a material produced by introducing an ion-exchange group to a matrix obtained e.g. by crosslinking PS with divinylbenzene) and (ii) a porous inorganic mineral such as vermiculite and zeolite, (B) activated carbon or charcoal containing adsorbed oxygen and (C) a polyacrylamide. The soil (improver) is suitable for the growth of plant, especially an ornamental plant.
