To provide a soil improving machine capable of opening and closing a lid body of an additive hopper by slight force and preventing the lid body of the additive hopper from interfering with a crane mounted on the soil improving machine.
This soil improving machine is provided with the first lid body 35 and the second lid body 34 covering a charging port 31 to be opened and closed by turning in an upper part of the additive hopper 30. Each of these first and second lid bodies 35, 34 covers the charging port 31 partially and is set to have such size that covers the whole charging port 31 with them both. The direction of turning of the first lid body 35 and that of the second lid body 34 are set to be the same direction. The direction of opening of the first and second lid bodies 35, 34 is set to be on the opposite side to a crane 104 side in the transverse direction of a body frame 3.
