To solve a problem wherein much time and labor are required to measure the velocity of a shear wave in the original ground, thereby causing increase of cost, in a conventional soil quality inspection method.
In this soil quality inspection method, soil in an original position is sampled from a stratum to be improved, and a sample of improved soil is prepared in accordance with the design of blending. Velocity of shear wave of the prepared sample is measured, and then an unconfined compression test is conducted to obtain correlation between the velocity of shear wave and the unconfined compressive strength. A regression curve indicating the relationship between the velocity of shear wave and the unconfined compressive strength of the improved soil is obtained, and target velocity of shear wave is decided. After the improved soil is solidified, a plurality of core samples are sampled. The velocity of shear wave of the sampled core sample is measured by age of optional material, and strength of the soil in the original position is evaluated.
