To provide a soil recovering and supplying apparatus capable of preventing soil clogging when recovering soil, and smoothly supplying the recovered soil at a low cost with a simple configuration.
A soil recovering and supplying apparatus 1 comprises: a soil supplying conveyor 18 supplying a soil insertion device 10 inserting soil into a seedling box P with soil S housed in a soil housing space 3; a soil recovering conveyor 12 recovering soil S fallen from the soil insertion device 10 and conveying the soil S to the soil housing space 3; and a transmitting mechanism 5 transmitting power of the soil supplying conveyor 18 to the soil recovering conveyor 12. The transmitting mechanism 5 comprises: a pin wheel 27 attached on a rotational shaft 14a of the soil recovering conveyor 12; a crank 28 attached on a rotational shaft 21a of the soil supplying conveyor 18; and a hook claw 29 in which a base end part is pivoted by the crank 28 and a tip end part is mounted on the pin wheel 27. The hook claw 29 reciprocating by rotation of the rotational shaft 21a repeats reciprocation between the tip end part side and the base end part side, and a claw 29a successively draws a plurality of pins 27a to the base end part side.
