To provide a technology for easily and efficiently replacing soil, capable of replacing the soil with a good-quality soil by locally and vertically excavating up to the relatively deep depth.
This soil replacing method performs a process of joining a cylindrical casing 11 to a joining tool 10 by installing the joining tool 10 on a driving shaft 7 by using an earth drill machine 1, a process of pressing the casing 11 in the ground by making torque and thrust act on the casing 11 from the driving shaft 7, and a process of carrying out excavation earth by excavating the inside of the casing 11; and then performs a process of backfilling the separate good-quality soil inside the casing 11; and afterwards performs a process of extracting the casing 11 by joining the driving shaft 7 again to the casing 11.
