Title:
SOIL SAMPLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004293154
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a soil sampler capable of accurately taking soil sample in an arbitrary depth without mixture of soil in other strata.

When a sleeve pipe is pulled about a sampling part 1 provided on the bottom end of an operation shaft 4 and having a shape allowing an easy insertion of a bottom end of a cylinder a handle 15 provided on the shaft passing through a sheath pipe lower part 2 right above and a sheath 3 and protruding upward, a claw fixing base 6 fixed to the operation shaft in the lower part of the sheath is lowered, the gap between the sampler and the lower part of the sheath is opened, the tip claw 7 having a reacting force toward the outside from the claw fixing base is protruded from the sheath to the outside and is pressed on the wall face of the sampling hole. When the handle at the upper end of the operating shaft is turned, soil around the tip claw is scraped down into the sample collector 20. The handle arranged at the upper end of the operating shaft is pulled up to the sleeve to close the gap between the sample collection part and the lower part of the sleeve and lift up together with the sheath. In this way, a high quality sample can be taken.
