To provide a soil sampling device by which a cubic capacity of a sampling space for housing a soil sample is sufficiently secured, the collected soil sample is taken out from the sampling space easily, and the soil at a non-target underground depth is prevented from being mixed into the sampling space by preventing a shutter plate for opening/closing a sampling port for taking the soil into the sampling space from falling off.

A sampling pipe 10 is formed into a cylindrical shape. An inner peripheral part of the sampling pipe 10 serves as the sampling space 10b for housing the collected soil. Connecting holes 10f, 10g respectively formed on both sides in the axial direction of the sampling space 10b are closed by a point joint 13 and a rod joint 14 serving as covering bodies. When the soil sampling device 1 rotates in a reverse direction, a soil raking claw 12a is caught on an inner peripheral surface of a penetrating hole and the shutter plate 12 is slidingly moved from a fully-closed position to a fully-opened position to open the sampling port 10a. The soil raking claw 12a rakes the soil off the inner peripheral surface of the penetrating hole and takes it into the sampling space 10 through the sampling port 10a.
