Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a lightweight soil substitute, having air and water permeabilities, further fertilizer and water holding properties and supporting properties of supporting roots of a plant, capable of suppressing the growth of molds, etc., and suitable as the rooftop of a building or a verandah, etc., of an apartment house.
CONSTITUTION: This soil substitute is obtained by fixing antimicrobial particles 3 which are hydrophilic inorganic particles supporting an antimicrobial agent on the surface of foam particles 1 made of a synthetic resin with a urethane polymer 4.
