Abstract:
To provide a sol-gel polycondensation reaction method in which sol-gel reaction can be suppressed (stopped or delayed) even in the case of using a high-reactive sol-gel reaction raw material compound, and a processing treatment can be executed to a composition containing the sol-gel reaction raw material compound before hardening.SOLUTION: A sol-gel polycondensation reaction method includes the steps of: executing a heating treatment to a mixture containing alcohol of carbon number 3 or more, an acid catalyst, and a sol-gel reaction raw material compound having a metal alkoxide structure to perform transesterification; adding a volatile basic compound having a boiling point within a range of 35 to 250°C as a reaction retarder to a reaction product created by the transesterification to prepare a sol-gel polycondensation reactive composition; and executing a heating treatment to the sol-gel polycondensation reactive composition to perform hardening reaction while removing the volatile basic compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
