Abstract:

To obtain a solar battery evaluation device which can find output characteristics of a solar cell of laminate structure under any sunlight spectrum more easily than conventionally possible.

The solar battery evaluation device includes a spectral sensitivity characteristic information acquisition unit 14 which acquires spectral sensitivity characteristics of a solar battery composed of plural cells differing in bandgap which are laminated in series when the bias voltage of each cell is varied; a sunlight spectrum information storage unit 15 which stores therein sunlight spectra at different spots on earth; and a current-voltage characteristic calculation unit 16 which, by using the spectral sensitivity characteristics acquired by the spectral sensitivity characteristic information acquisition unit 14 and a sunlight spectrum selected from the sunlight spectrum information storage unit 15 via an input unit 11 by a user, calculates the current-voltage characteristic of each cell and adds up the voltage value of each cell corresponding to each current value to calculate the current-voltage characteristic of the whole of the solar battery.
