PURPOSE: To reduce a timepiece in three-dimensional size by positioning the timepiece hand fitting shaft of a timepiece movement in the center of the circumscribed circle of the timepiece movement with timepiece parts and arranging solar batteries at adequate intervals.

CONSTITUTION: The timepiece hand fitting shaft 4 of the timepiece movement 1 of a solar battery timepiece is eccentric, and consequently the timepiece hand fitting shaft 4 is positioned in the center O2 of the circumscribed circle M of the timepiece movement with secondary batteries 2. In this case, the solar batteries are arranged at proper intervals at its outer circumference. Consequently, the battery fitting base 9 for the solar batteries 10 is reduced in size to reduce the timepiece in three-dimensional size on the whole.
