Title:
SOLAR BOAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2522886
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the weight of the whole of a boat and to perform high speed sailing without increasing generating capacity by a method wherein two hull parts are formed in the shape of a round cylinder in cross section by using a fiber-reinforced resin film, a downward protrusion part is formed on a lower end, and the hull parts are filled with pressure gas.
CONSTITUTION: A hull part 10 is formed of a fiber-reinforced resin film 13 and a joint member, a foam 16, and a reinforcing body 17 are respectively a light member. A deck part 20, a bow deck, a stern deck, and a steering part 30 are also formed of a light material, such as a foam and a fiber-reinforced resin film. Thus, a ship hull 1 is constituted to be light, buoyancy is exerted on the ship hull 1 by pressure gas with which the hull part 10 is filled to provide a solar boat with a light draft W. An outboard motor 35 is operated by the power of a solar battery 40 for sailing. In this case, since the ship hull 1 is light and a draft line is light, the boat can sail in a state that viscous resistance of water is low. Further, since the protrusion part 10a of the hull part 10 is under water, lateral slide of the ship hull 1 owing to lateral wind is prevented from occurring.
