Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain the load of solar radiation finely by operating the solar-radiation elevation angle and the solar-radiation azimuth based on the output value of a solar radiation sensor, and obtaining the accurate intensity of the solar radiation corresponding to the solar-radiation elevation angle. CONSTITUTION:The intensity of solar radiation light is detected with a photodetector 15 formed on a glass substrate 11. A spot is formed on a light receiving surface 12a of a two-dimensional detecting element 12 with the light which is transmitted through a circular light introducing part 13 that is formed at the central part of the substrate 11. The position of the spot is obtained by operation. The elevation angle of the solar radiation and the azimuth of the solar radiation are obtained based on the posi tion of the spot. The output of signal of the photodetector 15 is not related to the azimuth of the solar radiation but changed by the elevation angle of the solar radia tion. Therefore, the output of the photodetector 15 is corrected with the elevation angle of the solar radiation, and the accurate intensity of the solar radiation at the surface which is orthogonal to the optical axis can be obtained. Thus, the highly accurate correction with the quantity of heat due to solar radiation can be performed in the control of the air condition of an automobile.
