Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate power stably from solar energy, which varies at a short period by the conditions of weather or sunshine, while ensuring high generation efficiency.SOLUTION: A solar thermal energy power generator includes a first power generation unit 10 having a first generator 14 for generating power by driving a rotary machine with steam produced by utilizing solar heat, an accumulator 46 for storing a compressed medium delivered from a first compressor 41, a second power generation unit 40 having a second generator 47 for generating power by driving a rotary machine with compressed medium supplied from the accumulator 46 via a compressed medium supply passage 48, and control means 70 for controlling the value of a second power generated in the second power generation unit 40 depending on the value of a first power generated in the first power generation unit 10. The control means 70 levels the value of power generated by the energy of solar heat, that is the sum of the value of first power and the value of second power, through a predetermined period of time.
