PURPOSE: To detect the boundary position between a parts edge and a soldering part by specifying, as a soldering inspection position, a feature point obtained by performing operation processing of the data on the distribution of amount of X-ray transmission on a line in a direction for mounting parts at a soldering part.
CONSTITUTION: An inspection board 2 is laid out at a specific position, X rays are applied from an X-ray source 3, and X rays transmitted through the inspection board 2 are detected by an X-ray detector 4. The detection output of the X-ray detector 4 is inputted to an X-ray image reading device 5, the X-ray transmission image is read, and then the result is A/D-converted and is inputted to a computer 6. The computer 6 performs the operation processing of the data on the distribution of the amount of X-ray transmission at a soldering part, thus detecting the deviation of a peak detection position caused by the reduction in gain as a feature point at a part where the amount of X-ray transmission rapidly changed due to the deterioration of the X-ray transmission image is detected as a peak by the operation processing of image data. The feature point is specified as the soldering inspection device.
