PURPOSE: To improve the service to guests by retrieving whether an order menu exists in a soldout menu table or not, transmitting order data unless it exists, and erasing it from the soldout menu table, when the menu is released from a soldout state.
CONSTITUTION: The contents of a soldout menu information table are updated by transmitting soldout menu information irrespective of whether a menu in an order exists or not, together with status information for confirming the reception of order data to a menu card from a restaurant order controller as an answer at the time when the order data is transmitted to an ordering system controller from the menu card. In such a state, when a waitress executes an input in accordance with a program of the inside of the menu card, whether a menu is stored in a soldout table or not is confirmed, and if it is registered, a fact of a soldout is displayed on a display part of the menu card and informed to the waitress. As for the menu in which the soldout is obviated, the registra tion of a soldout is released. In such a way, the service can be improved.
