Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a sole which can prevent water from splashing during walking. CONSTITUTION: The sole 1 of a shoe 2 includes a heel-end zone having one or plural liquid-absorbing zones stopping splashes by absorbing clinging water at the time of release subsequent to load during walking, in the range of a heel-side end, particularly on the surface of or inside a heel 3. The liquid absorbing zones can be constructed of a liquid-absorbing elastic material 6, e.g. an open-cell type polyurethane elastomer, or by providing the heel 3 with a bore or a hollow space connected to a channel.
