PURPOSE: To make it possible to decrease the stresses on the muscle groups around the foot joints by forming the rear edges of heel soles in such a manner that these edges do not come into contact with the ground surface until the intersected points existing within the base of the outsoles come into contact with the ground and that the rear edges receive the body weight in heel cut areas when the intersected point come into contact with the ground and the body weight acts on the ground surface.
CONSTITUTION: The intersected point of a landing speed direction line 4 where the lowermost point 3 of the heel bone 2 of the foot 1 acts on the ground surface B at the time of the earliest landing of the edge C of the heel sole formed by extending the outsole base 5 of a shoe sole body 12 in a heel direction at the time of running by wearing sports shoes and the outsole base 5 is determined as the intersected point 6. The range from the intersected point 6 to the rear edge C of the heel sole is determined as the heel cut area and is so formed that a heel cut angle 11 is equaled to a landing angle 11A at the time of forming the rear edge C1 of the heel sole, by which the sole of the sports shoes is formed.
