To provide a solenoid drive device with higher controllability of cleaning water and higher plunger response, and a water discharge device with enhanced cleaning performance.
The solenoid drive device includes: a first switch means, one end of which is connected to the positive side of a power supply; a solenoid, one end of which is connected to the other end of the first switch means; a second switch means, one end of which is connected to the other end of the solenoid and the other end of which is connected to the negative side of the power supply; a capacitance means which is connected between the positive side and the negative side of the power supply; a first rectifier diode which is connected between the one end of the solenoid and the negative side of the capacitance means in the reverse direction; a second rectifier diode which is connected between the positive side of the capacitance means and the other end of the solenoid in the reverse direction; and a constant current circuit which maintains a current flowing through the solenoid constant.
