Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable a solenoid-operated relief valve to be miniaturized and characterized by its high sensitivity by forming the valve in such a manner that the relief pressure is varied by way of drawing-up a spool to the valve-seat side. CONSTITUTION:On the lower end of the valve element 10 of a solenoid-operated relief valve is locked a guide member 12, and the guide member 12 is placed in a housing 110. A solenoid coil 32 is provided on the circumference of a sleeve 21 and a supporting sleeve 22, and when it is supplied with an electric current, a suction force is produced between a spool 27 and a ball seat 18, and at the same time, the suction force acts also between the spool 27 and the outer end of the valve element 10. Hereby, the spool 27 is moved to the valve seat portion 15 side, and the amount of deflection in a spring 30 is increased to raise the relief pressure. Subsequently, when an electric current supplied to the solenoid coil 32 varies, in proportion to the change, the suction force acting on the spool 27 is varied, and the spool 27 is displaced so that the relief pressure is varied in proportion to the electric current supplied.
