A solenoid valve 6 is provided in a high-pressure fuel pump for supplying high-pressure fuel to a diesel engine. The solenoid valve 6 is provided with a valve element 63 slid in a valve case 6c following the energization of a coil 61, a spring 69 for pressing the valve element 63 in the closing direction, an armature 70 integrated with the valve element 63, and a stator 68 for moving the valve element 63 against the pressing force of the spring 69 when the coils energized, and the flow of fuel (fluids) is permitted by the movement of the valve element 63 to its opening position. In addition, the valve element movement range of one side regulated by the recess 74 of the valve case 6c in the pressing direction of the spring 69, and the valve element movement range of the other side is regulated at a balancing point between the attracting force of the armature 70 to the stator 68 and the pressing force of the spring 69.
