To provide a solenoid valve which can prevent generation of failure due to metallic powder as foreign matter without generating it at the time of fixing a valve seat member.

A valve storage hole 2 where the first passage 3 and the second passage 4 for working fluid are opened is formed at a passage formed body 1. A valve seat member 14 provided with a valve hole 18 which can communicate with the passages 3, 4 for working fluid is inserted and fixed inside the valve storage hole 2. A plunger 11 is formed, which is provided with a valve element 12 for opening and closing the valve hole 18 of the valve seat member 14. A cylinder 8 is fitted, which stores the plunger 11 so as to be capable of sliding. On one end side 8a of the cylinder 8, a fixing core 10 is fixed. A magnetic coil 7 is fitted on the outer periphery side of the fixing core 10. The valve seat member 14 is fixed on the other end side 8b of the cylinder 8, and pressed in and fixed inside the valve storage hole 2.
