Abstract:
PURPOSE:To lessen power consumption by decreasing holding current which flows in an excitation coil after attracting a moving iron core. CONSTITUTION:A pair of excitation coils are connected in parallel to form an excitation coil 2 to which a strong operating current is supplied at the time a moving iron core is attracted. After the moving iron core has been attracted, however, a weaker holding current than the operating current is supplied to the excitation coil 2. With this constitution, power consumption can be significantly lessened.
