Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the solid catalyst which has a good shape, dispenses with demineralization because of its high polymn. activity, and gives an olefin copolymer having narrow compsn. and mol.wt. distributions and excellent mechanical properties.

CONSTITUTION: The catalyst comprises a transition metal compd. of the group IV or V of the periodic table and a carrier comprising an inorg. compd. or an org. polymer, the transition metal compd. having at least one ligand chemically bonded to the carrier.
