To provide a device of a solid dose delivery system, capable of being used for administering a guest substance.
This device for topical, subcutaneous, intracutaneous, or transcutaneous delivery of a therapeutic agent includes a composition containing the therapeutic agent and a glass-forming polyol and/or a hydrophobic carbohydrate derivative (HDC), wherein the HDC has a carbohydrate main chain in which hydroxy groups more than one are substituted by derivatives thereof having decreased hydrophilicity.
