To provide a Li0.35La0.55TiO3-based solid electrolyte that can be made by sintering at low temperatures and has relatively high ionic conductivity.
A solid electrolyte of the present invention is a sintered body that satisfies at least one of the following conditions: a low-melting point material substitutes for a portion of the crystal structure of an oxide represented by the formula LipLa(2-p)/3TiO3, where 0<p≤0.5, the low-melting point material having a melting point lower than the sintering temperature of the oxide; the sintered body is mainly composed of the oxide and contains a low-melting point material that has a melting point lower than the sintering temperature of the oxide in addition to the oxide. The low-melting point material is preferably one or more selected from Bi, Li2B4O7, and LiBO2.
