Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor of small equivalent series resistance and small loss.
SOLUTION: A solid electrolytic layer 3 is formed via a dielectric layer 2 on an anode conductor 1, made of a metal having valve action. A monomer solution containing a monomer and an oxidant solution containing an oxidant are used to form a conductive polymer intermediate layer 4, comprising a polymer with hardness less than that the of the solid electrolytic layer 3 made of a monomer on a surface of the solid electrolytic layer 3 through chemical polymerization. A cathode conductor 5, having a group of carbon particles 9 which protrude to the side of the conductive polymer intermediate layer 4, is formed on the surface of the conductive polymer intermediate layer 4. The conductive polymer intermediate layer 4 is made to adhere to the group of carbon particles 9, to manufacture a solid electrolytic capacitor 16 with reduced equivalent series resistance and loss.
