PURPOSE: To isolate a unit from outer air, to avoid contact with externally formed resin and to prevent effects due to temperature and mechanical stress caused by the externally formed resin, in a solid electrolytic capacitor wherein an organic semiconductor having 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane compound as a main component is used as solid electrolyte, by providing a hollow part so that the specified unit is substantially held in a suspended state in a space, and sealing the unit as an airtight manner.
CONSTITUTION: A film is provided on the surface of a valve metal by anodic oxidation or anodic formation. The valve metal is used as a first electrode. A second electrode is provided so as to face the first electrode. Solid electrolyte incorporates the complex salt of 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane as a main component. The solid solution is provided between the first and second electrodes. A unit 1 of a solid electrolytic capacitor is constituted with said solid electrolyte. A hollow part 5 is provided so that the unit part 1 is not contact with a case 2. The hollow part 5 is sealed with an airtight sealing member 6 in an airtight manner so that the inside is filled with gas such as dry air, dry nitrogen, dry helium, dry argon or the like or kept in a vacuum state. Thus, exposure to moisture in the outer air, mechanical stress from externally formed resin, chemical reaction with the externally formed resin and the like are prevented.
