Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel solid form of the magnesium salt of (S)-omeprazole and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The provided method for manufacturing a novel solid form comprises: a) a step of crystallizing an S-omeprazole magnesium salt from an S-omeprazole magnesium salt solution within a solvent system including a methanol/water mixture including at least 0.01 mL of water with respect to 1 g of an S-omeprazole magnesium salt starting material; b) a step of separating the S-omeprazole magnesium salt emerging at the previous step; and c) a step of separating a free organic solvent from the obtained S-omeprazole magnesium salt.
