Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel feeding device for a combustion furnace in which the solid fuel is applied and its operation is carried out while its inner side being kept at a positive pressure, either not-yet ignited gas or flame in the combustion furnace is prevented from being injected out of a fuel loading inlet port when the solid fuel is fed into the combustion furnace during an operation of the combustion furnace and then the solid fuel can be additionally fed into the combustion furnace in a safe and positive manner at an optional time of the operation of the combustion furnace.
SOLUTION: There are provided an upper gate 4 and a lower gate 7 for use in closing each of an upper part or a lower part of a fuel feeding section 10 of a solid fuel feeding device 1 installed at a combustion furnace 3. There are also provided an upper gate opening or closing mechanism 5 and a lower gate opening or closing mechanism 8 for use in driving to open or close either the upper gate 4 or the lower gate 7, respectively. A shield gas feeding port 9 is formed at the fuel feeding section 10 and them a shield gas feeding pipe 12 is connected to the shield gas feeding port 9.
