Title:
SOLID GOLF BALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003190332
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a solid golf ball which has high repulsion, and a favorable controlling property and durability keeping a soft putting feeling, and can stably be injection-molded even when the cover is thin.

This golf ball is composed with a core of a rubber, and the cover. The hardness of the core is 2.00 mm or higher as a deformation amount when a load of 5 kg to 130 kg is applied to the core. The cover has an air- purging section in a region of a 10 mm radius from respective poles of upper and lower split dies as dies for the injection-molding. The gap length of the air-purging section is 90 mm or higher as a total. Respective air-purging gap widths are 0.01 to 0.08 mm. The total area of the air-purging gap is 1-5 mm2. By using such dies, this solid golf ball is formed by injection-molding a cover material wherein a thermoplastic urethane resin is the major material into a thickness of 0.9 to 1.7 mm.
