PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-lubricant-filled rolling bearing which can be used for a long time even in a highly humid atmosphere without suffering from the penetration of moisture thereinto, therefore made proof against rusting and exhibits stable lubrication for a long time.
SOLUTION: A mixture of a lubricating oil or a lubricating grease with a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin such as an ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin is filled into a rolling bearing. When a thermoplastic resin is used, the mixture is heated and then cooled to form a solid. When a thermosetting resin is used, it is heated to a specified temperature, and a lubricating grease is filled in the gap formed between the solid lubricant formed then and the rolling bearing to form a lubricant-filled rolling bearing. The thermosetting resin may comprise a modified silicone having reactive organic groups and a curing agent such as an epoxy compound having a group reactive with the reactive organic groups.
