Abstract:
To provide a solid lubricant which is usable as a friction adjusting material of a friction material for brakes, has the same properties as tin sulfide, suppresses the sublimation of tin sulfide at high temperature, and is excellent in high-temperature friction.
The solid lubricant has a tin sulfide coating laid on the surface of iron powder which is substrate particles, wherein the mass ratio between the iron powder and the tin sulfide is 1:0.1 to 1:2.
