Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide fuel battery system arranged so that the cracking and the like on a fuel battery cell owing to the reduction expansion of an oxygen electrode can be suppressed by controlling an oxygen partial pressure inside a battery housing.SOLUTION: A solid oxide fuel battery system comprises: a fuel battery cell (fuel battery cell stack 6) including a solid electrolytic film, a fuel electrode provided on one side of the solid electrolytic film, and an oxygen electrode provided on the other side of the solid electrolytic film; a reformer 4 for modifying a fuel gas in quality; and a battery housing 54 defining a high-temperature space 52. The fuel battery cell stack 6 and the reformer 4 are enclosed in the battery housing 54. The solid oxide fuel battery system further comprises an air-supply member 82 (air-supply pipe 84) provided in an oxygen atmosphere inside the battery housing 54. The air-supply member 82 has one end extending downward and communicating to the outside, and the other end extending upward and communicating the outside the battery housing 54. In the solid oxide fuel battery system, an oxygen permeable material is provided to cover each opening of the air-supply member 82.
