An upper heat exchanger 123a, an air exhaust chamber 109 and a fuel supply chamber 106 are disposed on the upper side of a power generation chamber 105, whereas a lower heat exchanger 123b, an air supply chamber 108 and a fuel discharge chamber 107 are disposed on the lower side of the power generation chamber 105. The exhaust air 122a discharged from the power generation chamber 105 exchanges heat with high temperature discharged heat 20 on the upper side and/or the intermediate side, and rises the temperature of the exhaust air 122a thus suppressing heat radiation on the lower stage side or heating the lower stage side.
