To provide a solid oxide fuel cell using ferritic stainless steel in which corrosion or thickness reduction caused by high temperature oxidation in the high temperature at 400°C or higher and moreover in the steam addition atmosphere is difficult to occur.
The solid oxide fuel cell uses the ferritic stainless steel containing 1.0-8.0 mass% Al and forming alumina film in which weight increase by oxidation in using environment is 0.5 g/m2 and a resistance value at that time is 300 mΩ cm2 or more, in a solid oxide fuel cell member containing a part where using temperature is 400°C or higher or moreover 550°C or higher, and a part coming in contact with steam-containing gas at that temperature. During operation, Al contained in the steel forms a strong alumina film and high temperature oxidation is remarkably prevented.
