PURPOSE: Not only to prevent flare but also elevate resolution, and to make a solid pickup device such as a TV camera, etc. small-sized and light in weight, by providing image transmission fibers between a photographed object image forming lens and a solid pickup element.

CONSTITUTION: When an optical image of a photographed object 1 is formed on the focus surface F by an image formation lens 2, incident end of an optical fiber flux 4 for light transmission is provided on the above focus surface, and its emitting end is made to correspond to a photo-detecting part of the solid pickup element 3. Each fiber flux 4 is arrayed closely in the incident end 401, but it is arrayed roughly in the emitting end 402, the optical image formed in the incident end 401 is expanded spacially and is irradiated to only the effective photodetecting part 301 of the solid pickup element 3, therefore an energy loss of the optical image is made minimum, and since light is not irradiated to the electrode 302 and a reflected light also becomes next to nothing, flare becomes a little to the extent that it can be neglected, and the intensity of illumination which is same as before can be obtained with an image formaing lens of small aperture. Furthermore, in case of a colour image, optical fibers 411, 412, 413 which electively detect each color of three primary colors are arrayed respectively.
