Abstract:
To provide a solid polymer electrolyte membrane having higher proton conductivity and smaller methanol permeability simultaneously, and a high performance fuel cell.
This solid polymer electrolyte membrane is obtained by irradiating a fluorine-based resin thin membrane with a radiation for graft polymerizing a monofunctional monomer and then irradiating the copolymer with the radiation again for graft polymerizing a multi-functional monomer. Also, the fuel cell is obtained by installing the solid polymer electrolyte membrane between a fuel electrode and an air electrode.
