Abstract:

To provide a PEFC showing stable performance for a long period by improving durability of a material constructing a catalyst layer.

Not less than two kinds of catalysts having different corrosion resistant properties, and not less than two kinds of carriers having different corrosion resistant properties are contained in a catalyst layer. More precisely, the solid polymer fuel cell has a solid polymer electrolyte film 110, a pair of catalyst layers (120a, 120c), a pair of gas diffusion layers (130a, 130c), and a pair of separators (140a, 140c), and at least one catalyst layer out of the catalyst layers (120a, 120c) contains not less than two kinds of catalysts having different corrosion resistant properties, not less than two kinds of carriers having different corrosion resistant properties, and the proton conductive solid polymer electrolyte.
