To obtain an environmentally friendly solid primer easy to handle, excellent in storage stability, by including a dispersion medium consisting of a specific thermoplastic material and a specific amount of a surface treating agent.
This solid primer 1 is obtained by including (A) 100 pts.wt. of a dispersion medium consisting of a thermoplastic material having a melting point higher than normal temperatures (preferably 50 to 200°C) and (B) 0.1 to 50 pts.wt. of a surface treating agent; wherein 1 to 50 pts.wt. of a silane coupling agent based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A is preferably used as the component B. The silane coupling agent to be used is e.g. an epoxy group-containing silane (partially hydrolyzed condensate), vinyl group-containing silane (partially hydrolyzed condensate), cyclic siloxane, chain siloxane, a cyanuric ring-containing organosilicon compound. The solid primer 1 is desirable to sharpen its tip nearly conically when to be used.
