To provide a solid soap in which foaming is excellent to also hard water and which works gently to skin even if a special medicinal effect component is not combined.

The soap is manufactured by using a hot spring water of sodium chloride and hydrogen carbonate fountain, especially a hot spring water that contains as anions, ≥30% by mval of a chlorine ion (Cl^-) and ≥30% by mval of a hydrogen carbonate ion (HCO₃^-) when being manufactured by including oil-and-fat and caustic soda as main raw materials, thereby the solid soap in which foaming is excellent to hard water, which works gently on the skin, and in which a beauty effect can be expected is manufactured.
