This solid soap for the washing comprises at least a fat and oil component and an alkali component, and is used for the washing. The solid soap uses one kind, two kinds or more of vegetable oils containing, as the fat and oil component, an olive oil, a caster oil, a palm oil, a palm kernel oil, a palm stearic acid, a coconut oil, a rice bran oil, a safflower oil, a sesame oil, a camellia oil, a cone oil, a cotton seed oil, a soy bean oil and a sunflower oil, has a spherical, conical, columnar or other solid shape as the whole, and is formed to bring all the side lengths or diameters thereof into 10-40 mm.
