Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a final image pickup area which is distortion.corrected and recorded on the screen of a display device in an image pickup preparation state. SOLUTION: An object optical image which is image-picked up on the input screen of a CCD solid-state image pickup element by an image pickup lens 1 is outputted from the CCD solid-state image pickup element 2 as analog image information. Analog image information is converted into digital image data by an A/D converter 4 and is written into a frame memory 5. Image data are supplied to a display device 9 in the image pickup standby state prior to image pickup, and it is displayed as the image which is not distortion-corrected. An area display generation device 8 obtains recording screen area display information after distortion correction on the image before distortion aberration is corrected by using distortion aberration data obtained based on zoom point and focusing point information of the image pickup lens 1 by a zoom point/ focusing point information detection part 6 and a distortion aberration data table storage part 7 and information is displayed on a display device 9.
